About the CoE

The Center of Excellence (CoE) in Robotics and Cognitive AI at R.M.K. Group of Institutions was inaugurated on 10th September 2025 at R.M.K. Engineering College, with the vision of creating a hub for next-generation robotics, artificial intelligence, and cognitive technologies.

The inauguration was graced by our Knowledge Partner – HCL Tech, with the distinguished presence of:

• Shri. Debojyoti Choudhuri, Deputy General Manager, HCL Tech

The event was honored by the presence of our Honourable Chairman, Shri. R.S. Munirathinam, Vice Chairman, Shri. R.M. Kishore, along with Advisors, Principals, Deans, HoDs, Faculty Members, and Students.

With an investment of ₹1.5 Crores, this CoE stands as a landmark initiative of our magnanimous management, making R.M.K. Engineering College among the pioneering institutions in India to host a Walker-E Humanoid Robot and advanced robotics facilities.

• Doosan A0509 Collaborative Robot (6-Axis Cobot) – For precision industrial automation.
• DOBOT Magician Kits (4-Axis Robots) – For training and mini-projects.
• Advanced Simulation Tools – ROS2, Gazebo, RoboDK, Isaac Sim.
• AI-Integrated Hardware – NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin (550 TOPS computing power).
• Fire Bird & Spark V Robots – For embedded robotics experiments.
