CoE- Digital Experience
Centre of Excellence on “DIGITAL EXPERIENCE” is collaborated with LTIMindtree as a knowledge Partner. Digital Experience Lab was established in the Department of Computer Science and Design to provide students with hands-on experience in cutting-edge immersive technologies. The lab is equipped with Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) devices, 3D content creation tools, and simulation platforms to design and develop interactive digital environments.
The Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Digital Experience at R.M.K. Group of Institutions was inaugurated on 17th July 2024 at R.M.K. Engineering College, with the vision of establishing a hub for immersive technologies, extended reality innovations, and next-generation AI-driven experiences..
The inauguration was graced by Chief Guest and our Knowledge Partner – LTIMindtree, with the distinguished presence of:

- Mr.R.Venkateshwaran, Associate Vice President, HR, LTIMindtree
The event was honored by the presence of our Honourable Chairman, Shri. R.S. Munirathinam, Vice Chairman, Shri. R.M. Kishore, along with Advisors, Principals, Deans, HoDs, Faculty Members, and Students.
With an investment of ₹1.5 Crores, this Centre of Excellence marks a visionary initiative by our esteemed management, positioning R.M.K. Engineering College among the few pioneering institutions in India to establish state-of-the-art AR/VR facilities and immersive technology infrastructure.
The Digital Experience CoE encourages students to innovate and develop real-world applications that enhance user interaction across various domains such as education, healthcare, and industry. The lab organizes expert talks, hands-on workshops, and project expos to bridge the gap between academia and industry, creating job-ready professionals equipped for global opportunities in the immersive technology space.

The Digital Experience (AR/VR) Centre of Excellence is equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, providing an immersive ecosystem for learning, research, and innovation in extended reality technologies:
- Meta Quest Pro & HTC Vive Pro Headsets – For developing and testing advanced immersive applications.
- AR Development Kits (Microsoft HoloLens & Magic Leap) – For creating interactive mixed reality experiences.
- High-Performance Workstations – Powered by NVIDIA RTX GPUs for real-time 3D rendering and simulation.
- 3D Modeling & Animation Software – Including Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, and Autodesk Maya for content creation and experience design.
- Motion Tracking and Haptics Systems – For realistic human interaction and spatial experience simulation.
- Digital Twin and Metaverse Platforms – For building virtual environments that mirror real-world operations.
- Dedicated AR/VR Innovation Lab Spaces – Designed for collaborative learning, prototype development, and industry-driven projects.
