It is with extremely proficient professors that they could produce amazing academic results year after year. And this institution has made me dream to greater heights with their seemingly tough challenges and limitless opportunities. It is indeed my greatest pleasure and honour to have passed out from this institution.

“I’m from the batch of 2013. Like everyone, I had my apprehensions in mind about joining a college and getting an engineering degree. It was in that period, the number of jobs was going down in the IT sector. R.M.K. is famously known for its dual placement’ process and its good faculty base the academic performance ended up with 100% placement. During my course, the professors did the maximum to equip us with the curriculum and the management as well.

When I finally passed out I had 3 offers (Honeywell, Accenture & Infosys). This, when I think of the current scenario, is a great achievement by the colleges compared to what other leading colleges are able to offer. I’m not going to talk about famous sumptuous food, the green campus which is already very famous and well known by everyone. Dr. A. Mohammed Junaid who was my Department HOD is a charismatic personality and was always there for the students to guide us. It was a splendid experience of gaining knowledge and discipline. Our Chairman Shri.R.S.Munirathnam sir never compromises with the latter which has become one of the character traits of every R.M.K.’ians. I realize it was one of my best decisions to join the R.M.K. family.

RMK – the second home during my engineering. The best environment which shaped me to the place where I am today. The first priority is given to discipline which appear to be annoying in the beginning for a student, but the benefits of it can be felt later. When it comes to academics, the infrastructure facilities and support from staff is phenomenal, if the individual is ready to fully utilize the available resources. Every day in college will be a well- planned and perfect time-bound one starting from boarding of bus to college and returning back home. The standard of food provided to the individuals with proper hygiene and quality is awesome. It has a very strong alumni network which is been utilized well by the college. They try to get inputs/feedback from alumni about the real-time industrial trends. This helps in providing the students with the additional support with academics and make them industry ready Engineers.

“Motivation gets you going, but discipline keeps you growing” – RMK stands for its discipline which is one of the commendable quality. Out of the regular curriculum, they impart extra skills that is essential for a person’s career & life. My department focussed on conducting Paper presentations, mini-projects & Seminars which enhanced my social & communication skills.

My Final year project was one huge success which grabbed 1st Prize at Smart Odissa Hackathon, which was possible only because of Department support. The constant motivation from my Department made me to achieve University 7th Rank.

When I joined B.E. Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering at RMK Engineering College, I was not sure about the pathway ahead and the challenges I would face in securing a good job in a reputed company. Being the first graduate in my family, I had a strong desire to build a successful career, as getting placed in a top company would be a great milestone for me.
Thanks to the constant support and guidance from the faculty and coordinators, I was able to transform myself into a skilled engineering graduate. Their encouragement and training played a crucial role in shaping my journey. With their help, I secured a placement at TCS as a Systems Engineer with a rewarding package of 9 LPA. The happiness I felt at that moment is beyond words.
I am truly grateful to my department, my mentors, and the entire college management for providing an ecosystem that fosters holistic development and providing inputs in shaping my career.
