B.Tech. Information TechnologyThe Department has been accredited by NBA for three years. The sanctioned intake per is 120+12 (Lateral Entry) students for B.Tech(Information Technology) course of Anna University conducted by this Department.
Extensive Laboratory facilities for 19 Laboratory (Practical) subjects including C++, Java, Data Structure, System Software, Operating System, DBMS,RDBMS, Multimedia, Graphics, Case Tools, Networks, Software Engineering, Visuals Basic, Visual C++, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Systems, Communication Systems, Microprocessors and Microcontrollers are available. Two value added courses beyond the syllabus are offered in the department.
The department is headed by a highly experienced Professor. The teaching and research activities of the department is supported by a team of one professor, four assistant professors, five senior Lectures and eighteen Lecturers who provide and maintain high standards of teaching and maintain high standards of teaching and learning and who are well qualified in their respective fields of study. Some of the faculty are also members of professional societies and technical bodies like IEEE,IET,IE(I),CSI,SSI,ISTE etc
